Testimonials

I love this guy!! I’ve worked with a lot of producer/engineers/mixers and Jeff is one of the best. In my opinion, where Jeff excels is in his ability work quickly to achieve incredible sounds tracking and mixing. His ability to inspire performances out of musicians as a producer is second to none. Jeff’s abilities in the studio never cease to amaze me. I learn something new every time I work with him! As an added bonus, Jeff is a fantastic guitarist, bassist, singer and drummer!!!! I hate this guy!!!!

Drums, bass, guitar, vocals… whatever you need recorded, Jeff knows how to make it come out amazing. His attention to detail and experience in the studio will make your project sound the way it has always sounded in your head: perfect. Once you hear the first playback, you’ll be wondering “Why the hell did I waste my money on those other guys?” Oh yeah, Jeff can produce, too. He’ll take your newborn concept and bring it to its full-grown fruition.

Jeff knows how to make it sound good, period. His drum sounds are huge, his guitar and bass tones are versatile and ever so tasty, and he has a knack for getting the perfect vocal take. Hell, he’s even adept at doing weird, creative shit that’s way outside the box. Best quality and value around, hands down.”

I moved to Flagstaff to go to school in 2011, formed a band with my friends I met in my hall and immediately began writing songs. We were clueless, had no place to practice, and could only resort to Garageband to record demos. I emailed a Flag band whose recordings I admired and they gave me Jeff’s name, it was the best thing that ever happened to us. Over the next four years, Jeff was more than a producer, he was an adviser, friend, and ally to Flight of Ryan. He not only has an amazing technical ear and artistic sense for music but has a limitless collection of hilarious and valuable stories about what it takes to be a musician; about touring, dealing with the music industry, promoting, booking shows, live performance, and growing as an independent band. Recording with Jeff are easily some of my most cherished memories from living in Flagstaff. The fees we payed him for tracking don’t come close to covering the debt we owe him for what he has done for our band. Unlike so many, Jeff sincerely cares about each recording he makes, and is willing to do whatever it takes to make them sound perfect. I’ve been complemented many times about the production on our album. I laughed when another band drunkenly confessed to me, “You guys just have so much more money than us, we could never afford recordings that sound like that.” The truth is that it wasn’t money that landed us with the quality of recordings we have, it was getting incredibly lucky and meeting the perfect producer. Every discussion I have with other bands about their recording experience — the price, the effort put in by the producer, the headaches they go through to get mixes on time — makes me more confident that Jeff is the best value in the Flag, and probably in the state. I never hesitate to honestly recommend him to anyone looking to record, and I expect big things from him in the future.

Working with Jeff is like adding a new member to your band — one who’s been there the whole time and is just as passionate. I’ve never had a better studio experience. You can relax and be comfortable, but also feel inspired and encouraged to lay down your best work.
